The Rebel Riot ist nicht nur eine politische Punkband, es handelt sich viel mehr um eine laute Community gegen soziale Ungerechtigkeit.
Im Februar 2021 haben die Streitkräfte Myanmars einen Militärputsch durchgeführt und haben die Macht im Land übernommen. Zahllose Menschen verloren ihr Leben. In dieser Zeit erschien das Album "One Day". Leider können The Rebel Riot aufgrund der Umstände derzeit nicht auftreten. Einige von ihnen befinden sich im Exil, andere sind aktiv im Untergrund in Myanmar.
Diese Schallplatte wurde durch das Engagement einiger Leute aus Hamburg produziert, um den Widerstand gegen das myanmarische Militärregime zu unterstützen.
Die Platten könnt ihr ab 12,- € erhalten, die Spende kann aber beliebig hoch ausfallen.
Das Album enthält 12 Titel, die sich mit Themen wie Krieg, Armut, Korruption, Heuchelei, Kapitalismus und Umweltzerstörung befassen...
The Rebel Riot is more than a political punk band, it's an active community from Yangon (Myanmar), a loud political statement against social and government injustice.
The album "One Day" came at a time of mass unrest in Myanmar, where protests against the military forces who seized power in February, 2021 have resulted in scores killed.
Since the heavily-armed military coup The Rebel Riot have been forced to take a break from making music. Some members are now in exile in Thailand and the rest are heavily involved in the underground resistance against the government.
This vinyl was produced with DIY power to support the resistance of myanmar punks against military regime concequences. We raise money for the band through selling these vinyls. The price starts at 12 euro and could be raised by free donation.
The record contains 12 tracks that deal with such topics as war, poverty, corrupt cops, religious hypocrisy, exploitative capitalism and environmental destruction...
