Die Punkband The Noname mit ihrem hymnischen Mitsingpunk bringt neben dem neuen Longplayer "Fortress Besieged" die Single "Anti-" raus.
Hass und Gewalt wachsen oft aus sozialer Ungerechtigkeit und menschliche Ignoranz heraus, weshalb die Band diesen Themen eine ganze 7-Zoll EP widmet. The Noname zitiert hier Joe Strummer mit seinen ikonischen Worten "We’re anti-fascist, we’re anti-violence, We're anti-racist and we’re pro-creative. We’re against ignorance!" ("Wir sind antifaschistisch, wir sind gegen Gewalt, wir sind antirassistisch und wir sind für Kreativität. Wir sind gegen Ignoranz!")
Auf der EP finden sich drei unterschiedliche Versionen des Songs "Anti-":
Version 1: Gesungen von Sucker vom Bad Co. Project
Version 2: Mit den Stimmen von Bands aus aller Welt (Acidez, Disturbance, Chaos of Society, Heroes 2 None, The Rebel Riot Band und mehr)
Version 3: Die Album Version, direkt von der LP
Gerade die zweite Version soll die Botschaft in möglichst viele Regionen der Welt bringen und in vielen Sprachen ausdrücken!
Der letzte Track ist ein Cover von „Shine“ der legendären Heavy-Metal-Band Motörhead.
The single "Anti" written by the Chinese anthemic sing-a-long punk band The NONAME was planned to be released separated from the full-length album "Fortress Besieged". The reason for it is a special approach of the band to the topic of social injustice and people's ignorance that leads to violence and hate. The band tributted this song to Joe Strummer quotating him in the lyrics: "We’re anti-fascist, we’re anti-violence, We're anti-racist and we’re pro-creative. We’re against ignorance!".
This 7-inch EP includes three voice variations of the song "Anti": The first one featuring Sucker from Bad Co. Project; The second includes voices at the end of the song from members of punk bands around the world (Acidez, Disturbance, Chaos of Society, Heroes 2 None, The Rebel Riot and more); The third one is original band version that can be heard at the album as well. The constellation of bands on the second version of Anti is explained by the fact that The NONAME wanted to express the message in many languages to reach a wider audience than Chinese and English speaking.
